Why don’t staff have the equipment or time to make it all Hygeinic and safe?

From a medical point they are good. Staff are lovely. However, their processes can be easily tweaked to be more effective.

I had to wait 1 hour for pain relief when I was told I was getting it.

Right now I have been waiting 3 hours for my discharge medication. And my friends have had to wait.

How hasn’t the Health department pulled you up on these issues.?

For a private hospital that charges so much money, at the least they could offer more to the patients and the visitors.

Why are problems ignored and brushed aside?

Why do you allow some co ordinators ,in the catering dept , to treat staff so badly?

Why isn’t equipment ,walls etc being cleaned “every single day?” You have boiling water hoses so why aren’t you cleaning trolleys with them?

Why isn’t quality control being enforced?

Superb nursing care, comfortable, light airy room with a view across the suburbs. I could not have been happier with the hospital for my five day stay after major surgery. I could find absolutely no fault with it.

This place is awful to work in and I’m so much happier now. Best thing I ever did was leave there.

I'm currently a patient in ward 47 and today whilst eating lunch the tray table collapsed on my knee (which was just replaced 3 days ago). Luckily my visitors were able to remove the table from my knee, but it was extremely painful. The nursing staff gave me some thing for the pain and ice for my knee. All that was great but if something like that happens in my workplace it's instantly a safety incident. It actually hurt me and i was treated. I'm astonished that not one staff member has thought about this as an incident that shoud be investigated and at the very least the offending table removed and replaced. I'm concerned it will happen again. I was wondering what the hospitals view on this is? If anyone wants to come see me I'm in room 8. I've told several nursing and a physio and all were sympathetic of the situation but not one staff member has mentioned that this was an incident caused by possible faulty equipment that should be reported and it actually hurt me. Surprised!

I worked there for over 18 years and have recently resigned. It used to be such a nice place to work in but is now a horrible toxic place. The leaders that be treat staff like complete morons and overwork them.

You not only have to pay for parking as a visitor but the most surprising part was, they didn’t even have snacks (little biscuits) in the coffee room.

The mindset of most staff is that they hate working there which means the quality suffers. I couldn’t take it anymore watching it go down hill more and more with each passing year. I had trouble going in their most days to watch the incompetence of a manager that I wouldn’t leave in charge of a pot plant. When you are a Manager you actually have to manage. This involves talking to staff and checking the quality of the work and especially the “HYGIENE” and not to rule from behind the command post known as your desk. Taking naps all day in said chair is also not managing.

Even the public hospitals offer that.

Why aren’t staff being spoken to by you and asked about issues?
